  • At tournament tip-off, Oak Hill Academy (VA) was ranked #1 and Wheeler High School (GA) was ranked #12 by USA Today. The 2006 tournament sold out each day before 10:00 a.m. and total event attendance exceeded 25,000. Additional national participants included Mountain View High School (AZ). The tournament’s 2nd place team South Medford went on to win the 2007 Oregon State Basketball Championship.

    Champion: Reserve Christian (Reserve, LA)
    2nd Place: Westchester (Los Angeles, CA)
    Venue: Liberty High School, Hillsboro, OR
  • USA Today #8 ranked Rice High School (NY) loses to eventual LSI Champion Reserve Christian (LA) by two points in their third game. They then go on to lose to Oregon’s Lake Oswego by six points. Towson Catholic (MD) rounded out the field of national teams participating in this tournament.

  • Three USA Today ranked teams participated in the 2004 LSI: Oak Hill Academy at #3; Montrose Christian at #9; and Fairfax High School at #13. Oak Hill wins the tournament with Montrose Christian placing 5th and Fairfax winning the consolation bracket.

    2nd Place: Lake Oswego High School (Lake Oswego, OR)
    Venue: University of Portland, Portland OR
  • Three national teams participated in the 2003 LSI : Georgetown Prep (DC); Hillcrest (AL); and Verbum Dei (CA)) but it was two Oregon teams competing for the LSI Championship. Freshman Kevin Love is the first freshman to be selected the LSI’s Most Valuable Player.

    Champion: Bishop O’Connell (IN)
    2nd Place: Westbury Christian (TX)
    Venue: University of Portland, Portland, OR
  • Bishop O’Connell entered the tournament ranked #9 and Westbury Christian ranked #20 by USA Today. Additional non-Oregon participants included Southern Lab High School (LA) and Australia’s Bendigo Senior Secondary.

    2nd Place: Churchill High School (OR)
    Venue: Memorial Coliseum, Portland, OR
  • Oak Hill Academy’s pretournament ranking was #2 in the country by USA Today. #24 ranked Mater Dei of California beat Roseburg High School but lost to Oregon’s Jesuit High School and Little Rock Arkansas’ Central High School. Additional national participants included St. John Bosco (CA) and Central High School (AR).

  • This year’s tournament featured USA Today’s #1 ranked Rice High School (NY) and #21 ranked Southern Lab (LA). Jefferson High School was ranked #25 and went on to win the 2000 Oregon State Basketball Championship. The field of national participants also included Redondo Union (CA).
