Highlights:

  • Enumclaw enters the 2007-08 season with high expectations as they return eight seniors from a team that went undefeated in league play last year.
  • The strength of the team will be in the Hornet’s guard play. They will be led by Julian Fernandez, a transfer from Cuba who led the team in scoring and assists last season and was the league MVP and C.J. Fitzpatrick who can knock down the long range shot.
  • The Hornets play an up-tempo style of basketball but can also grind it out in the half court. They are predicted to win the S.P.S.L. and advance into Washington’s State Tournament.
  • Enumclaw is coached by Phil Engebretsen whose record at the school is 53-34. He was named the S.P.S.L. Coach of the Year last season.
