Highlights:
De La Salle will feature a fast, athletic team that will play great pressure man-to-man pressure defense and a solid, well-balanced offensive passing game attack.
The Spartans return four starters and nine players from their 28-3 campaign of 2006-07.
They are led by junior point guard Brandon Smith who is an outstanding scorer who can strike on the drive, in the paint and hit the three.
They will also rely on junior wingman Jefferson Powers and sophomore John McArthur who is a power player in the post.
De La Salle is coached by Frank Allocco who has compiled a career record of 275-34 in 10 seasons for the Spartans. He has won 10 league Championships, 3 Nor-Cal Regional Titles and 2 State Championships. He has also been named National Coach of the Year, was the Head Coach in the 2006 Jordan All-American game, is third all-time in California winning percentage, the only coach in California history to win a State Championship at 2 different high schools and has developed 25 Division I players.
